Presidents Message

A Message from the Riverhead Little League President

Hello Riverhead Little League Families,

First off I would like to thank everyone who helped make 2017 another great year. Thank you to the Board for their hard work, the coaches for your time mentoring our kids, our sponsors and all the other volunteers who helped out during the season.

Although there's snow on the ground and the temperatures can't seem to get out of the teens, Riverhead Little League board is hard at work preparing for the 2018 season. We are hoping for a warmer and drier season than last year.

At the end of each season we try and look back and see what worked and what did not, constantly trying to improve the league. This year is no exception. Riverhead Little League purchased an AED this winter and will be holding a mandatory AED/CPR training class for our coaches prior to the beginning of the season to ensure the safety of our players. We are also looking to build on the All Star Skills Competition that we held for both softball and baseball which was a huge success. Additionally, we just received approval from Little League International to host a Pitch, Hit, Run competition this May. This competition gives winners, within the various age groups to possibly have a chance to compete in the national championships held at the MLB All Star Game.

With the help and support from our community, sponsors, and parents we will continue to dedicate our time to this League to help make it a memorable fun experience for all the players.

Sincerely,
Jeremy Savio
President
Riverhead Little League
